At RHHJ, we are dedicated to mentoring and preparing our staff to become future leaders in palliative care. We do this by encouraging and funding further education opportunities for our staff. Through formal and informal training and education, we aim to strengthen the confidence, skills, and knowledge of our team members. This empowers them to envision and take action on the ever-changing needs and challenges they encounter.

In 2023:

Clinicians:

  • One clinical staff member is currently enrolled in further palliative care studies.

  • One clinical staff member is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management.

Administration:

  • Two staff members are pursuing a Master of Public Health.

  • One staff member is completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.

  • One IT officer has graduated.

We also hold continued medical education sessions on average twice per month for all staff to ensure ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing. Our commitment to internal capacity building ensures that our team is well-equipped to provide the highest quality care and meet the needs of our community effectively.
