Our mission is to advance cancer prevention, early detection, and the improvement of the quality of life for patients and families affected by severe illness.
Rays of Hope Hospice Jinja
Rays of Hope Hospice Jinja (RHHJ) is currently the only specialized palliative care provider in all 11 districts of Busoga region, encompassing over 4.5 million people across around 10,000km²/3860miles², as well as three neighbouring districts.
Our team of clinicians and social workers provides care to patients in their homes through regular, pre-scheduled visits. Stronger patients are visited at health centers close to them.
Our Buyende Field Office, established in March 2022, reaches patients in remote Northwestern Kamuli and Buyende districts, while our second field office in Namayingo, established in January 2025, reaches Namayingo, Mayuge, Bugiri and Busia Districts. Each of our field offices now serves around 21% of RHHJ's enrolled patients.
