By offering comprehensive palliative care, we address the suffering caused by cancer in the Busoga Region through prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment. Our approach brings hope, healing, and dignified living until the very end.

Eva was on her death bed when RHHJ found her three years ago with severe HIV/AIDS and Kaposi's Sarcoma. RHHJ supported her for chemotherapy, ARV adherence, enrolled her son in the School Fee Programme and helped Eva start a business when her cancer was cured and her HIV was under control. She has become a patient advocate for RHHJ. Eva has overcome incredible adversity and now looks forward to a happy, healthy life!
Thank you for saving my life, and for supporting my son with school fees. You have washed away my worries, and those of my parents. Thank you!
Eva, former RHHJ patient

On a daily basis RHHJ teams witness a harsh reality of limited access to essential healthcare.
As the *Lancet Commission Report* (2017) states, "Poor people in all parts of the world live and die with little or no palliative care or pain relief. Staring into this access abyss, one sees the depth of extreme suffering in the cruel face of poverty and inequity."
Rays of Hope Hospice Jinja's goal is to bridge this gap through:
-
cancer prevention
-
early diagnosis
-
treatment
-
palliative care
-
alleviating suffering and promoting equity.
